Regatta Restaurant and Bar has two great advantages over other potential function venues: the fabulous views from Rose Bay Marina and Damien Pignolet’s famous cuisine.

Perched at the top of the pier that houses Rose Bay Marina, Regatta has spectacular views of the millions of dollars’ worth of yachts, a panoramic aspect of the harbour and the relaxing sight of water  gently lapping against the shore either side of the restaurant. Every seat in the restaurant has a water view.

Iconic Sydney chef Damien Pignolet joined Regatta early 2016 as Executive Chef and has created a contemporary French influenced menu, with mostly seafood dishes, reflecting the venue’s location and history – though carnivores are very well catered for.

Regatta offers a range of alternatives for small to medium sized functions, including weddings, christenings, baby showers and birthday parties. Clients can book Regatta’s Blue Room, facing Point Piper, which is perfect for an intimate lunch or dinner or easily lending itself to a more casual style cocktail soiree and a TV screen, Wi-Fi and AV facilities are available. The Blue Room has a capacity of sixty standing or forty five seated.

With significant notice, the entire venue can be booked out. This means you can have one hundred and thirty five guests seated or two hundred standing.

With either the Blue Room or the entire venue, guests can spill onto the veranda outside the bar overlooking the marina for some fresh air or al fresco sipping.

There is a range of price points to suit most events. Seated, you have the choice of a $90 three course menu or for $110, three courses including two canapes, coffee and petit fours - $145 with Laurent-Perrier Champagne.

There are at least three alternatives for each course of the menu, including entrees of a Salad of Golden & Purple Beetroot, Roquefort, Candied Pecans, Frisee & Herbal Greens, or Char Grilled Basil & Pancetta Wrapped King Prawns, Iceberg, Cucumber, Lemon & Avocado Salad.

There are mains of Blue Eye Trevalla ‘En Papillote’ Provencal with Roasted Tomato Aioli and Roast Lamb Rump with Onion Soubise, Crispy Chat Potatoes & Green Peas ‘The French Way’ or a delicious Risotto with Spinach and Gorgonzola. Desserts include Frangipane Fruit Tart and the irresistible Valrhona Chocolate Mousse Cake with Champagne & Raspberry Ice Cream

There is similar flexibility with the canapé packages with $60, $70 and $80 offerings and more than two dozen canapes to choose from, ranging from very light mouthfuls like Oysters Natural, Eschalot Vinaigrette and Ocean Trout, Sugar Cured with Fennel & Aromatic Herbs, to more substantial canape offerings including Squid Ink Salt & Pepper Squid, Lime Aioli, a Layered Vegetable Nicoise Omelette,  Regatta’s famous Fish & Chips, Tartare Sauce or Slow Braised Lamb Brioche Slider with Cucumber & Yoghurt. Dessert canapes include a Lemon Tart, Domingo Cake and Coffee Eclairs.

The food, the location, the views all add up to make Regatta the perfect event for functions.
