Women's RUGBY

Easts Rugby welcome women of all levels of ability and experience to come and play rugby with us.

 

We currently have a XVs team competing for the Jack Scott Cup.  These games are played on Saturday afternoons, from early April through to late August.  Home games are generally played at 5pm at Woollahra Oval.  This is often immediately after our first-grade men have played, hence we have an enthusiastic crowd supporting from the club-house.

 

In 2021 we are intending to have a 10s team for the first time, which will play in a competition alongside the XVs competition.  We also have two 7s teams, with many of the XVs players also playing XVs. 

 

For ambitious players, there is a pathway from Easts rugby to play in the Chikarovski Cup (women’s NRC), Super W, AON 7s and ultimately to play for Australia.  A large percentage of our squad have played at a level beyond club rugby. 

 

Equality is important to us at Easts, with the women’s team getting the same access to excellent facilities and coaching resources as the men’s teams.
